Timex TX7003 12.25-Inch Rain Gauge with Magnified Dial Review

Easy to install on our fence post. I do like the fact that we can read the rain gauge from inside the house because of the large numbers. The magnifying feature seems to be more from the water in the rain gauge than from the rain gauge itself.
The spike to stick it into the ground is rather large (about as big around as a nickel). When you stick it into the ground, you have a little hole left, but that really isn't too bothersome. With that being said, it is nice that you can mount it and use it as a typical rain gauge or you can stick it into the ground and use it to measure how much you have watered your lawn.
Also, you mount a little piece of metal and then just slide the rain gauge into it. This will allow you to have one gauge that you can move around (measure rain OR measure how much you have watered the lawn). Had I realized that, I would have only ordered one.
It is a very good price for what you get. It isn't made from extremely high quality materials, but I would have been shocked if it was since it is such a low price. I would recommend to anybody needing a decent looking rain gauge that you can read from as far away as 15 feet (or at least I can).
