I have an INTEX easy set pool. The steps started rusting out and I was not thrilled with the need to replace them on a regular basis. I have a salt pool and I am guessing that is why they rusted out only on the underwater side. So my plan was to find steps that would not be prone to rust and these seemed to be the answer. I am about 200LBS the steps are rated for 300LBS. I think that is a safe margin. When you climb up the steps on the outside they seem a little soft not horrible but give just enough to make you feel a little un certain about their stability. the inside steps are much more secure feeling but are almost vertical so as you ascend the steps you must shift your weight foreword or the outside steps lift off the ground outside the pool. And yes the steps are level. I did find in the instructions that for more stability you should attach the steps to the pool side, but alas I have a soft sided pool.Rotate & Lock Above Ground Pool Ladder Overview
